September Release | Sneak Peek #3

Day 3 and starting today, we are sneaking Christmas themed sets! I love Christmas! It’s a season of so much fun and joy and I am grateful to be surrounded by loved ones and just enjoying each other’s company.

This set is called All is Calm and it’s a large single sheet stamp (like our Sneaky Kitties) with handwritten and typed sentiments. It is really fun to color and oh, so therapeutic! I especially love that little bear trying to reach the star at the top of the tree. Ain’t he cute?

I used the no-line coloring technique for this card and I love the soft effect it brings to this set. What do you think?

Our September Release will be available in our Store on Monday, September 9th at 9am EST. It’s super easy to remember the date and time for this release… it’s all N-I-N-E-s!

September Release | Sneak Peek #2

Today is Day 2 of Sneak Week and our feature stamp today is called It’s Boo-tastic! More cute little critters in this sets and as mentioned yesterday, our Halloween sets coordinate with each other to create multiple scenes in which they can all interact with each other.

One of the things I keep in mind when designing is how our new sets can be used with our previous sets to create totally new and fun scenes which brings new life to the sets each time we have a new release!

Reading Buddies + Critters

It’s Amy here with a card that combines Reading Buddies and Coffee Loving Critters.

The mint card base is 4.25 x 9.25 inches.  The Bristol panel is 4.0 x 9.0 inches.  I stenciled mint colored clouds on the Bristol panel and added a grassy border.

I stamped the images from both Reading Buddies and Coffee Loving Critters in copic friendly black ink.  I colored them with a ton of different copics but my overall color palette was inspired by THIS color trio.

Here are the various copic colors I used:

  • R20
  • YR09 | YR16
  • Y21 | YR23
  • BG11 | BG34
  • E40 | E42
  • E50 | E51
  • E55
  • T0 | T1
  • N5 | N7

I hope you have an amazing week!

Build Your Own Background to Stretch Your Stamps!

Hi folks! Kelly here, excited to share a card made with the adorable Reading Buddies set! I actually made this card during the first release, but wanted to hold off sharing it so I could devote some time to discuss stamp selection when it comes to building a background.

This Reading Buddies set has some adorable images, like the cute critters carrying books, as well as a sweet scene of a girl reading with her forest friends. Any of these images are great to feature on a card. After you’ve played around with these on a couple of cards, however, I’d recommend taking a look at the secondary images, like the pile of books. I thought stamping the books in a pattern would make a fun background.

And, you get a completely different look to stretch your supplies!

Whenever I make a background like this, I try to figure out what the overall shape of the image is. In this case, the pile of books with the one book on its end is essentially a large rectangle.  To help illustrate this I’ve drawn rectangles over the books below …

I first stamped the “rectangle” of books vertically in the upper left corner, then rotated it 90 degrees to stamp horizontally in the top middle, and finally rotated it back to stamp the books vertically in the upper right corner. With that row completed, I can move on to stamp the second row, only this time I stamped the image horizontally, vertically, and horizontally across the card. This fills in the gaps left from the top row.

I repeated that stamping for the bottom half of the card to complete the background. To color the books I picked several copic markers in cool tones and rotated them to balance out the colors. Colored pencils would work as well for all the thin lines. I also grabbed a few shades of cream to color the book pages.

And just like that, your background is completed! With the sentiment and the background of books, I think this card would be perfect to send someone in your book club, or a friend who enjoys reading.

Hope you enjoyed this little tip on building your own backgrounds, as well as picking out a secondary stamp, to get an entirely new look from your stamp sets!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Guest Designer: Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends,

I am so thrilled to be guest designing today for the amazing Evelin T Designs! I am really excited about it.   I made a unique bookmark for this GD. My bookmark featuring Reading Buddies. This set is just perfect addition to your stash! To make this bookmark, I die cut a piece of Bristol smooth using a bookmark die.

I masked off and created the border by blending spun sugar distress oxide ink. Next, I stamped two greeting from Reading Buddies using black ink. As a final touch, I added 5 star sequins.

I hope you enjoy the project I created and feel inspired to create! Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday From All of Us

Hello! Heather Hoffman here this morning with a card using the adorable Sneaky Kitties stamp set – a super fun and intricate image, perfect for coloring when you have lots of time to sit and doodle!

I don’t often take time to slowly color in a detailed image like this, but I was talking on the phone with my parents one day, and started coloring, and before I knew it, we’d been on the phone for an hour, and this entire image was colored!

I added some little dots around the image with some of the same Copics I used to color the image – a great way to add a bit of interest to the background and have it easily coordinate!

I added a few details with a white gel pen, and then matted the panel with a bit of green cardstock and mounted on a kraft cardbase to finish off! Aren’t those little kitties the CUTEST?!?!?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!

Eat, Sleep, Read….

Happy August everyone.. Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing a card I created using Reading Buddies. If you love to read you will love this set.

Evelin T. Designs: Reading Buddies stamp set
This set is available in the online store HERE.

I created the background using Ranger Oxide inks: Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron. I used a misc die to create these fun windows for each image. The images are colored with Copic Sketch markers and die cut with my Brother scan n cut machine. I used some foam adhesives to pop the windows up. I love to give my cards some dimension. Totally simple card to create.  Make sure to stop by again next week for more fun Reading Buddies inspiration from the design team.

Thanks for stopping by.

Coffee + Kitties

Hello Hello!  It’s Amy here with a couple cards that I’m so excited to share with you today.  First up is a card that combines the Coffee Art + Coffee Loving Critters sets:

I decided to do all my stamping with Memento Rich Cocoa.  I started off with some quick stenciling using Distress Oxide – Antique Linen.   I fussy cut the stacking mugs from Coffee Art and the bunny from Coffee Loving Critters.

I’ve actually been enjoying fussy cutting these days.  It’s been super relaxing for me.

My copic colors I used:

R20 Y15 | Y19
BG13 | BG15
E0000 | E51

I heat embossed the sentiment from Coffee Art in white on kraft cardstock.   I mounted everything on an Aqua panel.  The middle stack of mugs, the bunny and the sentiment have all be adhered with foam squares.   I went ahead and whipped up an extra card especially for today.  I wanted to use Sneaky Kitties and send my girl [the green thumb] some happy mail:

The image has been stamped with Versafine Onyx on Bristol.  It has been colored with Zig Clean Color Markers.

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ll know that green is my favorite color.  It was so relaxing to color this.  For this I colored zig on zig.  I blend with a lighter zig marker.  Do you see the random pops of Zig English Lavender?

I’m super happy how this turned out and think it will make my girl smile.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Coffee Critter Card Set

Hello! Heather Hoffman here this morning – and if you haven’t noticed, I kind of love to make sets of cards sometimes! Especially when some of the images and sentiments on a stamp set are so cute that I can’t decide which one to use. When in doubt, use lots of them! I used a combination of Coffee Loving Critters, and mixed in a couple sentiments from Coffee Art for these cards I’m sharing today!

I started off by trimming card size panels of watercolor cardstock in half, to make mini canvases for the fronts of my cards.

Next, I paired the images and sentiments that I wanted to use, and stamped them in Versafine Onxy Black Ink with my MISTI on those watercolor panels I had created.

I colored them in with my watercolors, and left them to dry for a bit.

Once they dried, I added a thin black mat around each one. Finally, I adhered them with foam adhesive on white cardbases.

I love how the simple design lets these fun images just really shine! And it makes it super quick to put several cards together at the same time, but they are all a bit different – perfect for giving as a gift set or putting in your stash for when you need a card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!
