Winter/Christmas Release | Debut Day 1

Hello friends, time for another Release! We have 5 new stamp sets for our Winter/Christmas Release and I am so excited to share the first 2 sets with you.

First up, we have Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Early this year, we went up to the mountains to enjoy the snow. I sled for the first time in my life and what will also be my last. Oh my! It sure was fun and adrenaline-filled but my poor back cannot sustain the constant bumping down the hill. It got so painful at one point that I just flipped myself off the sled… but my son enjoyed it and he looked so cute sledding down the hill which inspired the sledding Munster. And of course, how can you go to a snow mountain and not have a snowball fight? haha.

Available for purchase on October 28th, 2020
4×6 stamp set
Retails for $16.00
Includes eleven (11) stamps – seven (7) images + four (4) words/sentiments

Next, we have Pup-tastic Christmas

The inspiration for this second set started with the Snow Angel Corgi and how my husband always thought Corgis are super cute with their short legs and yes, we love cats too, so a cat must be included!

Available for purchase on October 28th, 2020
4×6 stamp set
Retails for $16.00
Includes nine (9) stamps – six (6) images + three (3) words/sentiments

And now, let’s see the stamps in action!

For this card featuring Baby, It’s Cold Outside, I drew slopes on my white cardstock with a light pencil and cut it out using my trusty cutterpede scissors. After cutting the slopes, I added faux stitching lines using a light blue colored pencils to add interest. I stamped my sledding Munster unto white cardstock and colored it with my prismacolor colored pencils. To create depth, I layer the colors until I achieve the effect I wanted. I also used a white jelly roll to add highlights to the Munster and sled.

I used the MISTI to position where I wanted to stamp the sentiment and stamped it a couple of times to get a crisp, dark image. After that, I decided where I wanted the slopes to be positioned on the card and adhered the furthermost piece with glue. I colored in the trees with colored pencils to set the scene. Then, I used foam tape to pop the next two layers of slope and my adorable Munster. To finish off the card, I added stickles on the slopes and the front part of the sled to add some sparkles. Lastly, I added stars sequins to complete the card.

I decided to create a shaker card with the Snow Angel Corgi from Pup-tastic Christmas. First, I die-cut the circle and the sentiment ‘Merry + Bright’. Next, I adhered a clear acetate onto the back of the cardstock I just die-cut. Then, I used the MISTI to position my corgi and stamp it directly on the card base. To color the corgi, I used colored pencils. After that, all I had to do was to add in sequins and adhere the top of the shaker card element with foam tape.

The ‘joy JOY joy’ sentiment is from another new set we will debut tomorrow. I stamped it onto white cardstock and cut it out into the shape of a banner. Finally, I just glued it down on the card and added star sequins to add more fun!

Christmas … And Some Sweet Animals

Hello everyone! It’s Anita here and I am so happy to once again guest design for Evelin T Designs! I have two cards to share with you today.

Tis The Season

For my first card I used the cute snowman and mice from the Good Tidings To You stamp set. First, I cut a panel of watercolor paper and used Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet distress inks to make an inky background. Then, I spattered water drops and once the panel was dry I heat-embossed snowflakes on the panel.

Next, I used foam tape to adhere a snowy slope and added a scalloped frame to create interest. I colored the snowman and mice with copics and then fussy-cut them. To add polka-dots to the snowman’s scarf, I used a white gel pen. Finally, I applied crystal glaze to the snowman’s nose and buttons and adhered all the images with foam tape.

Copics Used:

Snowman – BV20, BG70; R11; E27, YR18, YR14, YR12, YR00; N8, N6, N4

Mice – W5, W3, W1, W0; E02, E01, E000

Scarves – R59, R37, R35; B29, B26, B24, B21; YG17, YG03, YG01

Gifts – BG07, BG05, BG02; R59, R37, R35; B29, B26, B24, B21

You Warm My Heart

For my second card I used some cute animals from the Coffee Loving Critters stamp set. To start, I diecut a panel from bristol card and sponged it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I added a strip of pattern paper and black cardstock along the bottom edge of my card to ground the animals.

I colored the animals with copics, fussy-cut them and adhered them with foam tape. To make the eyes pop, I used a black glaze pen on their eyes and noses. Finally, I heat-embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and adhered it to my card with foam tape.

Copics Used:

Cat – W3, W1, W0; E01, E000

Bear – E35, E33, E31, E30; E01, E000

Bunny – E53, E51, E50; E01, E000

Cups – B05, B02, B01, B000; E44, E43, E42; G46, G43, G40; R89, R85, R83, R81

Cookie – E27, E25, E23

I want to thank Evelin for inviting me to guest design! I had so much fun and I hope I’ve inspired you to get inky with Evelin T Designs.

Wishing you a Magical & Blissful Holiday!

Hello and Happy Monday! It’s Amy here with a bit of holiday inspiration. I’m starting to gear up for the holiday’s, how about you? This year I really want to get my cards out during Thanksgiving weekend so that I don’t have to stress in December.

Today’s card combines Good Tidings to You and Warm Winter Wishes:

If you’ve been following me, you know that I’ve been really loving the pastel palette. These images were super quick for me to color.

I love how the sets are easy to mix and match. This particular design is super postal friendly even though it has several layers of cardstock.

I hope you have a fabulous week!

Happy Birthday Critters

 Hello my fabulous friends!

My name is Kassi Hulet, and I’m so excited to be guest designing here this month!

If you are familiar with my work, you may have noticed that I love watercoloring animals and flowers using the no line technique.  That love made this image absolutely perfect for me…

This is the adorable  Sending Joy digital stamp. Isn’t it super sweet?!

I knew I wanted to  do some no line coloring with this image, and I also wanted to do some foiling… to do this, I created two layers of the image in photoshop.  The first layer I set the opacity to about 12% (this creates the very light lines that seem to disappear once colored. For the second layer, I selected just the words, and left that layer at 100% opacity so the ink would nice and dark there.

I printed onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock using a laser printer, and colored the whole piece using Zig Clean Color markers. I love these adorable animals and wanted to keep them super soft and sweet…

You can obviously stop here, and it looks fabulous, but I wanted to add just a little extra pop…

I ran the image through my laminator with a little gold foil… Where the toner from the printer is full strength, the foil sticks beautifully, and where the toner is only at 12%, it is too weak to foil.  This makes selective foiling like this a breeze!

Be sure to check out all the other fabulous clear and digi stamps over at Evelin T Designs! I’ll be back later this month with another project featuring another one of my favorite Evelin T Designs images!

See you soon!

~Kassi

Beautiful Day…

Happy Day Evelin T Designs friends. Annette Allen here with you on this fine Monday. I had been looking outside and loving all the flowers that are blooming so it made me think of this Evelin T Designs: Floral Surprise stamp set, it was time to ink it up again. I also paired it up with the Evergreen Foliage stamp set. I love to mix and match all the Evelin T Designs stamp set.

I was going for a simple yet colorful card so I just stamped directly onto my card base.

The images are colored with Copic sketch markers. When I started this card I had no idea what color theme I was going with so I just grabbed a few of my favorites and started coloring. The more color the better, if you ask me.

I finished up with stamped this sentiment from the Evergreen Foliage stamp set. This will be short today as you can see this card it simple yet for sure to bring a smile to that someone special that needs a smile.

Make sure to follow the Evelin T Designs blog for more inspiration from the design team.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun-Loving Animals

Hello everyone! It’s Anita here with you today and I’m so excited to be guest designing for Evelin T Designs! I have two cards to share with you.

Tis’ the Season SlimLine Card

For my first card I used the adorable Fun In The Snow stamp set. This set includes lots of sweet ice-skating penguins and bears, making it perfect for both Christmas and Winter cards.

I made a slimline card that measures 3.5″ x 8.5″. First, I sponged the bristol cardstock with Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot distress inks to create a night sky. Then, I splattered it with thinned acrylic paint to create a snowy effect and adhered the cardstock to my base. Next, I cut a snowy slope from white cardstock, inked the top with Blueprint Sketch, and adhered that to my card.

To create the pond, I cut some white cardstock and added some Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch distress inks to give it a frosty look. I used foam tape to adhere the pond to my card so as to create added dimension. Next, I colored the skaters with copics and used a black glaze pen to darken their eyes and noses. To add polka-dots and stripes to the scarves and earmuffs, I used a white gel pen. Finally, I adhered the skaters with foam tape, along with a sentiment from the stamp set to complete the card.

The copics I used for the bears are BV20, BG70, E01, and E000. For the penguins, the colors I used are BV20, BG70, C7, C5, C3, and C1. Lastly, for the scarves, hats, boots, and earmuffs, I used YG17, YG03, YG01, B29, B26, B24, B21, BG07, BG05, BG02, B000, R46, R37, and R35.

Take a Leap of Faith Card

For my second card, I used the fun Take A Leap Of Faith stamp set. I just love the cute animals jumping on the trampoline!

Firstly, I stenciled clouds on the front of my card with distress ink to create the sky background. Next, I sponged Mowed Lawn distress ink on bristol cardstock, cut it with a grass die, and splattered it with water to create the splattered effect on the grass. Once dry, I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set and adhered the grass with foam tape. After that, I colored the stamped images with copics before adhering them with foam tape also.

The copics I used for the trampoline are C7, C5, C3, and C1. For the bunny, I used E55, E53, E51, E50, E01, E000, and R30. To complete the card, I used W3, W1, W0, and R30 for the cat and BV20 and BG70 to shade the clouds.

I hope I’ve inspired you to get inky today!

Hugs, Anita

Memory Planner with Positivi-Tea

Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith, Evelin T Designs, Memory Planner, Patricia Roebuck
Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith, Evelin T Designs, Memory Planner, Patricia Roebuck

Hello Evelin T Designs Friends! I am really enjoying doing Memory Planning as a way to capture the routines of our lives. I find Evelin T Designs stamps a great way to create and use my own images over and over again whether by stamping and fussy cutting or stamping directly onto my planner. Stamps were always my go-to for getting so much out them than just one use! So here is a look at how this spread came together.

Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith, Evelin T Designs, Memory Planner, Patricia Roebuck

Firstly, I take a look at the photos for the week and then decide which to print larger and which to print smaller. Then, I start adding the stamping, die cuts and stickers after I adhere the photos to my pages.

Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith, Evelin T Designs, Memory Planner, Patricia Roebuck

I always have extra stamped and colored images. All I had to do was to add the images from the Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith stamp sets I used to where they would help tell the story and fill in my collage. The sentiments are perfect for adding to die cuts or directly to my planner too. The fonts and sayings go so well with the style of my planner.

Positivi-Tea, Best Friends Fur-Ever!, Life is Beautiful, Take a Leap of Faith, Evelin T Designs, Memory Planner, Patricia Roebuck

I needed a few more stamped and colored images for this layout. But it was easy to do. I knew exactly which ones I needed. The coloring was quick since I already had my colored laid out. I love the details the stamps add. My favorite little cluster is the ‘Sunday Ride’ with the Alpha Blocks set, the ‘Be You’ sentiment from Life is Beautiful, and the leftover stamped and colored cloud from Take a Leap of Faith at the bottom.

Thank you so much for stopping by!! I hope this gives you inspiration to pull out your leftover stamped and colored images and use them on our next project whether memory planning or a card!

Eat, Drink and Be Scary!

Hello! It’s Amy here and I’m sharing a halloween themed slimline project today. I really love making fall themed cards and halloween is generally a favorite. This year I haven’t made as many as I have in the past, but I still have a couple of weeks to remedy that.

Today I’ve combined All Hallow’s Cuteness and It’s BOO-Tastic! These sets are so much fun and two of my favorites! I added a non-traditional color to my halloween designs and love how it turned out.

Every image on this particular card is on foam dimensionals. I love how it adds more interest to the overall design.

I hope you have an amazing week!

Halloween card set with clever use of stencils

Hello everyone! Jenn Shurkus from shurkus.com back here today to inspire you with some fun masking and stenciling techniques. Fall is here, a perfect time to create some Halloween cards. I know trick-or-treating may look a little different this year, so I wanted to create some fun cards to send to my niece and nephews.

I used the Its BOO-tastic and All Hallow’s Cuteness stamp sets to create this set of cards. Firstly, I started off by stamping one critter per sheet of cardstock. Then, I colored them with Copic markers and stamped the images again on masking paper, fussy cut them out and covered each of the images with the mask.

Next, I started to build a scene for each critter using some stencils. I used a grass, clouds, a starry background, and a moon stencil. The moon stencil I created myself, by die-cutting out a circle from a plastic piece. You can see in the first photo below. I will end up using the positive and negative of this “moon stencil”.

Using the Wendi Vecchi Stay-tion, which is a magnetic board has made working with stencils SO MUCH easier, and more enjoyable. I find myself wanting to stencil more! I start with that and lay down one of the critter cardstocks. Then I use Thermo-Web purple tape to create a clean line and hold the paper in place. Because I knew I was going to do a lot of ink blending above the tape, this will keep any ink from getting where I don’t want it.

Next, I started by inking the grass, using a stencil, blender brush and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. This particular grass stencil has a mask on the other side, so I slid the stencil down, to mask it and layered on top the sheet of plastic I cut a circle from. I then ink blended the moon with a blender brush and Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I also used a touch of Fossilized Amber Distress Ink to ink the bottom edges of the moon to give it dimension.

If I wanted to cover the moon, so that I could add clouds and or stars like above, I used a piece of Purple Tape, rolled to hold that circle that I die-cut out of plastic over the moon. I then ink blended the clouds using a blender brush and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Keeping the moon mask in place, I then placed a starry stencil over it, and ink blended that with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.

When masking, and layering a one layer card or background like this- plan out what you want your scene to look like and work backwards. Whatever is furthest away, or back in layers is what you would do first. The items that you mask will be in the front or foreground when all is done.

For the witch card:

  • Masked the witch
  • Stenciled in the moon
  • Masked the moon
  • Stencil in the clouds and stars.

For the jack-o-lantern card:

  • Ink blended the grass
  • masked the grass
  • ink blended the moon
  • masked the grass and moon
  • ink blended the whole background with Seedless Preserves, Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed Distress Ink
  • ink blended starry stencil with Black Soot Distress Ink

Finishing touches I did for each card:

  • I stamped, fussy cut out the “BOO” speech bubble, and adhered with a foam dot
  • I added some prisma glitter to some of the stars using a Quickie Glue pen and Prisma Glitter
  • TIP: with the Franken-bear card, my stencil moved a bit when adding the stars, adding glitter on top covers that small mistake up
  • Trimmed down each card to 2.75″ x 4″
  • Die-cut a scalloped frame from various sparkle cardstock for each card. Adhered the card to the frame
  • Stamped a sentiment on each card
  • Using foam, adhered these panels to an A2 card front made out of woodgrain cardstock

Time Saver Tip: If you go through the trouble of cutting a mask, adhere the mask directly to the stamp set so you will be able to use them again. When using masking paper you can use them over and over and over if you are gentle with them.

I hope you find these cards inspiring, and it makes you want to create some Halloween cards too, or experiment with stencils and masking! I have more specific details about the supplies I used over on my site here.

This is my last guest post for this month, just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Evelin for inviting me to share with you guys! This has been so fun!
