Make the Jump

Hello! Heather here with a fun little scene created using the adorable Take a Leap of Faith stamp set!

I started off with a panel of white cardstock, and stamped all the images around it – making sure to stamp the clouds off the edge of the paper to make it feel like the scene continued on past the panel.

I did some very simple Copic coloring on the images – keeping the colors nice and light and bright. I also added the look of a touch of grass at the bottom with the markers.

Once I had the image colored in, I added a layer of white cardstock underneath in a thin frame – just to keep it separated from the busy pattern paper underneath. Then I mounted it with foam adhesive over that happy plaid pattern paper!

Thanks so much for coming by today – have a wonderful day!

We Rise By Lifting Others

Hello everyone! Heather here to share a quick card with you using some of the newest release!

I fell in love with this sweet little monster the moment I saw him! Isn’t he the cutest? It was super fun to create this card using a bright pop of pink to contrast with the neutral tones I chose to color the little monster with.

I started off by masking off the bottom of my watercolor paper, then did some ink blending with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. I misted it with water and allowed it to mix and blend as it dried. Once it dried, I mixed a bit more of the same color distress ink with water on a clear block, and added some splatters with the deeper shade of the same color, then peeled the mask off and allowed it to fully dry.

Next, I stamped the adorable critter from Best Friends Fur-Ever on white cardstock with Copic friendly ink, and colored with Copic markers in warm gray shades. I fussy cut the image out, and popped it up with foam adhesive at the bottom of my colored background.

Finally, I added a fun sentiment from Under the Sea: Background – I just thought it was a fun sentiment with the bunny sitting on the monster’s head. 🙂 I heat embossed it in white on black cardstock, trimmed it down, and mounted with foam adhesive. Finishing touch was a few sparkly pink jewels scattered around for a touch of sparkle!

Thanks so much for stopping by – have a wonderful day!

Evergreen Foliage Card Trio

Hello! Heather Hoffman here this morning to share a trio of cards featuring the beautiful Evergreen Foliage paired with some fun Distress Ink blending! I basically wanted to recreate one of the designs I made for the release last month, and try some different color combos!

This design is perfect for one layer cards that are easy to mail – always nice to have in your stash! I masked off the top and bottom of each card, and used two different colors of distress ink for each one.

I tried to use colors that would blend fun in the center to almost make it look like I had used 3 colors instead of two.

I also added a good splatter of Perfect Pearls mixed with water for some texture and shine before removing the mask. This next one I didn’t have a great seal on my mask, so a bit of the color leaked under on the bottom, but I don’t think it looks to bad anyway, so I didn’t bother redoing it.

Once I removed the mask and allowed them to dry a bit, I lined up all the fun images from Evergreen Foliage in a row using my MISTI to assembly line stamp each of them.

I finished off with a mix of sentiments – all from the same Evergreen Foliage stamp set – LOVE how there are a great variety of sentiments in this stamp set as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!!!
