Winter/Christmas Release | Debut Day 1

Hello friends, time for another Release! We have 5 new stamp sets for our Winter/Christmas Release and I am so excited to share the first 2 sets with you.

First up, we have Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Early this year, we went up to the mountains to enjoy the snow. I sled for the first time in my life and what will also be my last. Oh my! It sure was fun and adrenaline-filled but my poor back cannot sustain the constant bumping down the hill. It got so painful at one point that I just flipped myself off the sled… but my son enjoyed it and he looked so cute sledding down the hill which inspired the sledding Munster. And of course, how can you go to a snow mountain and not have a snowball fight? haha.

Available for purchase on October 28th, 2020
4×6 stamp set
Retails for $16.00
Includes eleven (11) stamps – seven (7) images + four (4) words/sentiments

Next, we have Pup-tastic Christmas

The inspiration for this second set started with the Snow Angel Corgi and how my husband always thought Corgis are super cute with their short legs and yes, we love cats too, so a cat must be included!

Available for purchase on October 28th, 2020
4×6 stamp set
Retails for $16.00
Includes nine (9) stamps – six (6) images + three (3) words/sentiments

And now, let’s see the stamps in action!

For this card featuring Baby, It’s Cold Outside, I drew slopes on my white cardstock with a light pencil and cut it out using my trusty cutterpede scissors. After cutting the slopes, I added faux stitching lines using a light blue colored pencils to add interest. I stamped my sledding Munster unto white cardstock and colored it with my prismacolor colored pencils. To create depth, I layer the colors until I achieve the effect I wanted. I also used a white jelly roll to add highlights to the Munster and sled.

I used the MISTI to position where I wanted to stamp the sentiment and stamped it a couple of times to get a crisp, dark image. After that, I decided where I wanted the slopes to be positioned on the card and adhered the furthermost piece with glue. I colored in the trees with colored pencils to set the scene. Then, I used foam tape to pop the next two layers of slope and my adorable Munster. To finish off the card, I added stickles on the slopes and the front part of the sled to add some sparkles. Lastly, I added stars sequins to complete the card.

I decided to create a shaker card with the Snow Angel Corgi from Pup-tastic Christmas. First, I die-cut the circle and the sentiment ‘Merry + Bright’. Next, I adhered a clear acetate onto the back of the cardstock I just die-cut. Then, I used the MISTI to position my corgi and stamp it directly on the card base. To color the corgi, I used colored pencils. After that, all I had to do was to add in sequins and adhere the top of the shaker card element with foam tape.

The ‘joy JOY joy’ sentiment is from another new set we will debut tomorrow. I stamped it onto white cardstock and cut it out into the shape of a banner. Finally, I just glued it down on the card and added star sequins to add more fun!

All is Calm, All is Bright

Happy Monday, everyone!
It’s Evelin here today and I will be sharing my process video creating this card from our All is Calm set. This set features a single large stamp (with accompanying sentiments) that is so much fun to color. It is truly an art therapy piece!
I stamped the image using a light brown ink pad that I had from ages ago and then watercoloring it and used colored pencils to add depth and details.

For this card, I used cold pressed watercolor paper which is why you can see more textures on the colored image. Cold pressed watercolor papers are slightly textured by nature which is great for watercolors because it is more absorbent but creates a more textured finish when layered with colored pencils. Unlike smoother papers in which colored pencils can go on more smoothly.

So, depending on the style and feel of the card you want to create, you can choose different types of paper to try as well 🙂

I even used gold Stickles to add some ‘bling’ to the Christmas lights on the tree. Does anyone still use Stickles? haha… Most of the times, I just use what I already have in my stash, so I hope that it inspires you to ‘shop’ your stash before creating your cards too.

You can watch the video HERE on our YouTube channel.

Here is the stamp set used to create this card:

I hope you enjoy watching it and have a great day!

SEPTEMBER 2019 RELEASE BLOG HOP

Hallo Everyone! Happy Monday to you and welcome to our September Release Blog Hop! I am so excited to share our NEW RELEASE with you and all the inspirations created by our Designers.

We have six new stamp sets in this Release and I can’t wait for you to HOP along to see what the Designers have created but first, here’s a look at the new release and what I have created with them

First up, we have All Hallow’s Cuteness

It features, you guessed it! cute little critters in Halloween costumes and it was easy to create this interactive card with the witchy kitty and its birdie friend.

Sample card with All Hallow’s Cuteness – park your broom and sit for a spell

I watercolored the background to create a night sky and added splashes of white gouache for stars. Then, I used colored pencils to add depth and highlights to the images I painted as well and fussy-cut them all to assemble this card.

Next up, we have It’s Boo-tastic!

It’s Boo-tastic! coordinates superbly with All Hallows Cuteness and between the two sets, you will be able to create a multitude of scenes!

Sample card for It’s Boo-tastic – Boo!

For this card, I just eyeballed and freehand cut the hills that the pumpkins and kitty Dracula is standing on. Since one of my favorite medium is watercoloring, you can see that I once again painted and then used colored pencils to add dimension. I like how colored pencils add ‘live’ to the painted images. I fussy cut the pumpkins, little ghostie and bats and adhered them with dotliners and foam tape.

Then we are moving on to our Christmas stamps. All is Calm features a large stamp with matching sentiments.

Sample card – All Is Calm – Merry Christmas from Our Home to Yours

I had a fun time coloring this image with the no-line coloring technique. I stamped the image with a light colored ink (I used Papertrey Ink’s Harvest Gold this time) and watercolored the image before adding colored pencils to create this effect. I also used a brown pen to dot the eyes and drew the little mouth on the bear hiding behind the tree and mountain of presents!

Fun in the Snow features penguins and bears having fun skiing.

Sample card – Fun in the snow – wishing you much joy this holiday season

I decided to create an interactive card with the images from this set as well. Because I have not invested in interactive dies yet (my bad!), I had to handcut all the elements to put this card together. It was not the easiest thing to do, but it’s do-able and thankfully, I was only making one card! I love how the penguin and the bear moves in opposite direction… they are so fun to slide around

Warm Winter Wishes is another fun set to illustrate and I can imagine a lot of fun card with this set too but let me just share one and let my Designers wow you with theirs when you HOP along.

Sample card – Warm winter wishes

For this CAS card, I watercolored the background and used colored pencils to draw the trees. Then I just painted and highlighted the images using colored pencils. No fussy-cutting with this card. Just a lot of fun painting and that’s it!

And our last stamp set for this release is Good Tidings to You.

Sample card – Good tidings to you – seasons greetings

Another super fun card to make! I used distress inks to create a soft background and stamped the snowflakes onto it with a silver ink pad. Then I watercolored the stamped images and added colored pencils detailing again (do you see a pattern here? haha). Finally I added some shadows for the kitty and its mice friends with some grey colored pencil.

I hope that you are liking the Release so far and I can’t wait for you to Hop along for more inspiration and a chance to win prizes! Be prepared to be W-O-W-ed by what our Designers have created and comment along for your chance to win.
