Season’s Greetings…

Happy Hello Evelin T Designs friends.. Annette Allen here with you today and I am mixing it all up today with Evelin T Designs: Season’s Greetings, Baby, It’s Cold Outside, Fun In The Snow, Good Tidings To You, Warm Winter Wishes and Winter Magic stamp sets. I used all of these sets because they are all just so cute I could not help myself. So this lead to a fun stamped background.

I stamped out all these cuties onto some kraft card-stock and I knew I did not want to color the images all entirely, so I used a white gel pen here and there and colored the scarfs, mugs, hats and gifts with Copic Sketch markers. I wanted more of the white so I added some polka dots and some snow with the white gel pen. I just cant get enough. I also stamped out a little snowflakes here and there.

I wanted the sentiment to really stand out so I cut a piece of black and white designer paper to put behind my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of kraft card-stock and adhered it with the designer paper to my card.

Totally simple card to create and I used 6 of Evelin T Designs cute stamps.

This is also my last design team post for ETD and I wanted to thank you all for the support. Evelin, thank you for having me on your team. Being able to design and share inspiration with everyone has been a great honor to me. I am forever an Evelin T Designs FAN.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Home to Your Heart | Bible Journaling | Patricia

Hello Evelin T Friends!  I am still a non-essential employee and hoping work will be back soon.  But I feel like even though we are having to stay home, I feel like I’m maybe trying to go through the checklist of to-do’s to make everything feel more normal.  So the other day I went and sat outside by myself and had some quiet time, and then came inside to do some journaling.  Even though I love Bible journaling, I tend to do more of it in devotionals like this one from Illustrated Faith.

I started by adding one of the leafy images from the Fun in the Snow stamp set all around in different directions using Staz-On ink, then I continued to add more from that stamp set as well as Coffee Art and Good Tidings to You.

For the stamping of ‘choose,’ I trimmed the ‘choose coffee’ sentiment from the Coffee Art stamp set to be able to create repetitive stamping.  This is more like art journaling as well, so it is playtime I needed plus quiet time.  I started playing with that heart swirl latte image from Coffee Art to give it a completely different look.  After the stamping was done, I added watercolors to the images and to the area to handwrite journaling.  Then I finished this off with adding stickers and die cuts.

Hope everyone is well and hopefully this inspires you to also have some quiet, creative time for yourself.

Winter Fun…

Happy New Year Evelin T. Designs friends… Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing two Winter Fun cards that I created using Evelin T. Designs: Fun in the Snow, Good Tidings to You and Warm Winter Wishes stamp sets.

Don’t you just love when you start to create a card and well you have more then one idea so you just go with it. So today I am sharing two cards just because these ice skaters are just too cute and fun to create with.

I stenciled the background and layered it with a sunburst die. The image is colored with Copic sketch markers. The image just comes to life with color… don’t you think?

I used some winter themed dies to create these fun backgrounds for these adorable ice skaters. Minimal coloring and and finishing up with stamping these fun sentiments. I added some dimension to the image and the sentiment using foam adhesives.    As you can see all the Evelin T. Designs stamps mixing very well together. So go crazy and have creating.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Many Blessing for this New Year.

Fun in the Snow Trio

Hello and Happy Monday!  It’s Amy here with a winter card trio.  I used the images from the Fun in the Snow set and teamed them up with a sentiment from Warm Winter Wishes.

My intention wasn’t to design three cards but since I had all those cute images from the Fun in the Snow set, I decided to go ahead and use them all up.

They were super quick to put together since they’re 4.25 x 4.25 with minimal copic coloring.  I used the same overall design for each of them.

I used a pool die cut from my stash to create their ice skating rink.  Skating by starlight, sounds fun to me!

The New Years is almost here, can you believe it?  I wish you all joy, love and happiness!

Last-Minute Gift Tags

Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate! I’m here sharing some last-minute gift tags because how many of us calculate correctly and have enough on hand? It’s always better to have extras for those surprise gifts. Plus, they’re fun to make and can easily be turned into a card!

I watercolored images from Good Tidings to You and Fun in the Snow , using Simon Hurley create ink pads and I also stamped the snowflakes with the same inks. These inks are equally fantastic for stamping and watercoloring, which I love, and you can find all of the colours listed in the supply links below.

I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the animals’ red winter accessories and banners. The banners are from Evelin’s set called Framed for Winnie & Walter and they make awesome shaped tags. In the close-up, you can see how shimmery it makes the image. It’s so pretty and festive!

To finish, I stamped the sentiments, then did a bit of masking to stamp the snowflakes. I secured the animals using glue dots, punched a 1/8″ hole and threaded black cord.

For those of you who are celebrating this holiday season, I hope it’s wonderful! Even if you have no plans, I hope you enjoy the break!

Season Greetings…

Welcome Evelin T. Designs friends… Annette Allen here with you today. I created a snow filled card for you today and I created it using Evelin T. Designs: Warm Winter Wishes, Fun In The Snow and Good Tidings to You stamp sets.
All of these sets mix so well together. That is why you need them ALL.

I created a Ranger Alcohol ink background. You might say that does not look like alcohol ink well it is I just used water with it to get this softer look. Takes a while to dry but so worth it.
The images are colored with Copic Sketch markers and I fussy cut around them. If you look closely I used a star embossing folder.

I used some of the fake snow that you can find at most craft stores. These little critters are having fun in the snow. It really does not shake like a shaker card but the snow is staying right where I want it too. Yay for Christmas/Winter cards… Right?
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!

Guest Designer: Patricia Roebuck | Fun in the Snow Cards | Video

Hi Everyone!  This is my last post as a guest here on the Evelin T Designs blog.  Thank you so much Evelin for having me and to everyone for letting share!  The holidays are coming quickly.  I thought of a background using the Fun in the Snow stamp set with watercolors that is not only fun and whimsical but quick to mass produce!  And if you have a little extra time to get creative with your holiday cards, I’ll share another card using the same stamp set.  I also have a video to share how these cards came together at the end of this post.

I love the playfulness of the Fun in the Snow stamp set.  Each one of these images shows personality and movement.  Perfect for a background.  I created a background with the adorable and silly penguins and the beautiful bear gracefully skating along.  All I did was stamp several card panels with Staz On ink, then added messy watercoloring on top of them.  I created four cards using different cardstock panels under each one before adding to my card base.  You can change the look of them by using different cardstock colors.  To finish them, I added some Nuvo Drops.

For this next card, I did not use a card panel.  This is a single layered card base, except for the silver cardstock die cut frame I adhered around it.  Before adhering that though, I stamped this silly penguin  in black ink.  Then created a mask for him to create a wintery swirl to go along with the motion of him gliding along the ice.

You can see more on the video how this came together.  I placed the mask over the penguin, then used Nuvo Drops and Glitter to create swirls using a popsicle stick.  Lifted the mask after it dried a bit, and colored the penguin with pencils.

For the sentiment, I stamped the floral images from the stamp set to peek under my die cut silver frame to bring attention to my stamped sentiment at the top.  I finished this cutie with gems and sequins.

This card was not complicated to make, but definitely has a few more steps with the masking, coloring and the die cut frame, but still simple enough you could mass produce a set to give out for the holidays.  Thank you so much again Evelin for having me and to everyone for letting me share!  You can watch the video below to see how these came together or watch it in HD on my YouTube Channel here.

Skate-Your-Own-Greeting with Fun in the Snow

Hello! Kelly here with a card idea that you can completely customize for what you need!

One of my favorite little critters from Evelin’s winter stamp sets is this adorable ice skating bear from Fun in the Snow. The way his arms are open wide, and his proud expression, makes it seem like he is showing off his skating abilities. When this set was released, I created a card with the heart doodle by the bear’s skate to make it look like he had just finished skating a little heart in the ice. As we were creating that card, I had an idea that I could really make it look like he had just finished skating whatever design or word I wanted. So that’s what I did here!

I sketched out my “noel” greeting in pencil first, and then went over it with a felt-tipped pen. I think this would be a cute idea for customizing a card with a person’s name, the city they just moved to, or even their favorite sports team (use the team colors in the bear’s scarf!) So many different possibilities!

The “ice” is made from smooshing ink onto a stamping block, adding a few drops of water, and then placing the cardstock in the ink. It’s always a surprise what you get!

The “from OUR home to YOURS” sentiment is from All is Calm and could really be used on any holiday card you create.

Only a few days until Halloween, and then the holidays will really seem like they are just around the corner. Hope you’re collecting lots of ideas these past few weeks. I know I am!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kelly
