Season’s Greetings…

Happy Hello Evelin T Designs friends.. Annette Allen here with you today and I am mixing it all up today with Evelin T Designs: Season’s Greetings, Baby, It’s Cold Outside, Fun In The Snow, Good Tidings To You, Warm Winter Wishes and Winter Magic stamp sets. I used all of these sets because they are all just so cute I could not help myself. So this lead to a fun stamped background.

I stamped out all these cuties onto some kraft card-stock and I knew I did not want to color the images all entirely, so I used a white gel pen here and there and colored the scarfs, mugs, hats and gifts with Copic Sketch markers. I wanted more of the white so I added some polka dots and some snow with the white gel pen. I just cant get enough. I also stamped out a little snowflakes here and there.

I wanted the sentiment to really stand out so I cut a piece of black and white designer paper to put behind my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of kraft card-stock and adhered it with the designer paper to my card.

Totally simple card to create and I used 6 of Evelin T Designs cute stamps.

This is also my last design team post for ETD and I wanted to thank you all for the support. Evelin, thank you for having me on your team. Being able to design and share inspiration with everyone has been a great honor to me. I am forever an Evelin T Designs FAN.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Home to Your Heart | Bible Journaling | Patricia

Hello Evelin T Friends!  I am still a non-essential employee and hoping work will be back soon.  But I feel like even though we are having to stay home, I feel like I’m maybe trying to go through the checklist of to-do’s to make everything feel more normal.  So the other day I went and sat outside by myself and had some quiet time, and then came inside to do some journaling.  Even though I love Bible journaling, I tend to do more of it in devotionals like this one from Illustrated Faith.

I started by adding one of the leafy images from the Fun in the Snow stamp set all around in different directions using Staz-On ink, then I continued to add more from that stamp set as well as Coffee Art and Good Tidings to You.

For the stamping of ‘choose,’ I trimmed the ‘choose coffee’ sentiment from the Coffee Art stamp set to be able to create repetitive stamping.  This is more like art journaling as well, so it is playtime I needed plus quiet time.  I started playing with that heart swirl latte image from Coffee Art to give it a completely different look.  After the stamping was done, I added watercolors to the images and to the area to handwrite journaling.  Then I finished this off with adding stickers and die cuts.

Hope everyone is well and hopefully this inspires you to also have some quiet, creative time for yourself.

Love This | Traveler’s Notebook with Patricia

Hi Everyone!!  I’m excited to be back again this month to share my first memory keeping project using Evelin T Design stamps!  This is a spread in my Traveler’s Notebook using the Good Tidings to You stamp set.

I knew I wanted to include hearts, and I thought the adorable bear and bunny would be a perfect accent to my spread.  I first stamped and colored them with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.

Then I stamped ‘peace love joy’ from the same stamp set onto white cardstock using black ink and die cut hearts from the cardstock.  Next, I cut a circle heart from my Silhouette and backed some of the hearts with leftover pieces from the stamped cardstock, and then adhered my stamped die cut hearts to fill in.  I balanced the colors by using softer colors with the bold red from the circle heart and the bold black and white from the stamped die cut hearts.

I absolutely love the look of stamping and die cutting these hearts as well as backing the hearts from the Silhouette cut file.  Gives such an amazing look to your project!  I placed my photo first, and then finished by adding more hearts and embellishments.  To not take away from the design, I added my journaling to vellum and stapled near the top.

Thank you so much for letting me share this memory keeping project with you from my traveler’s notebook using the Good Tidings to You stamp set!  Happy creating!!

VIDEO TUTORIAL | Chinese New Year Card

Today, I’m sharing a Chinese New Year card with a video tutorial. I love making Chinese New Year cards every year, especially if I have the appropriate animal stamps for that zodiac year. As it turns out, this Saturday, January 25, 2020 is the start of the Rat Year and I’m a rat! My husband and son are also rats so this is a big year for us.

I used three stamp sets, including Good Tidings To You, All Hallow’s Cuteness and All Is Calm . The two mice are from Good Tidings To You, the mushrooms are from All Hallow’s Cuteness and the sentiment is from All Is Calm.

I stamped the images on to a watercolour panel. I also created masks for them so I could sponge the background before watercoloring the images with distress inks. After all the colouring was done and the panel dried, I heat embossed the sentiment with gold tinsel embossing powder.

To finish, I embellished the card with a strip of patterned paper, a strip of gold glitter cardstock and gold star sequins. I hope you enjoyed this out-of-the-box project using Christmas and Halloween stamps to create a Chinese New Year card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Chinese New Year Envelopes | Patricia Roebuck

Hello Everyone!!  I’m so excited to be a part of the Evelin T Designs team sharing my first project with you today using the Good Tidings to You and Coffee Art stamp sets.  To introduce myself to everyone, I have been scrapbooking since about 2007.  My main focus is on memory keeping and scrapbooking, but since 2007, I have always been creative with cards and all papercrafting.  I will be sharing some of my memory keeping here using Evelin’s stamps, but for today, I have some Chinese New Year envelopes to share!

I started by stamping and heat embossing onto my envelopes (cut from Silhouette) using the leaf design from the Coffee Art stamp set.  As I created the envelopes, I kept the theme, Chinese New Year, in mind as far as bright colors and bringing in shine with the embossing.  The repetitive pattern of the embossed leaf also created both texture and pattern with that beautiful shine.  I used a soft rose gold embossing powder.  As I stamped the leaf design, I rotated it alternating that pattern all the way down each row.

For my focal point of my envelope, I used the cute little mouse from the Good Tidings stamp set!  He actually inspired these envelopes!  Keeping with the shine from the heat embossing, I embossed him in gold on red cardstock.  Then I foam adhered him to the center of another die cut piece of cardstock.

I created two envelopes in the hot pink and one in lavender, using the alternating colors for the die cuts in the center.  My daughter chose the lavender envelope.

I will fill these long envelopes with a rat bookmark I crocheted.  The year of the rat is my daughter’s year and is also ten years since we became a Chinese Adoptive Family.  So wanted something fun she could keep and perfect with her Warriors books about cats!  Will also fill hers with a gift card or money and a Starbucks gift card.  Starbucks usually has gift cards to celebrate for the CNY.

Thank you so much for letting me share my first project here with you!  Don’t put those holiday themed stamps away, they can be used all year long!

Winter Fun…

Happy New Year Evelin T. Designs friends… Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing two Winter Fun cards that I created using Evelin T. Designs: Fun in the Snow, Good Tidings to You and Warm Winter Wishes stamp sets.

Don’t you just love when you start to create a card and well you have more then one idea so you just go with it. So today I am sharing two cards just because these ice skaters are just too cute and fun to create with.

I stenciled the background and layered it with a sunburst die. The image is colored with Copic sketch markers. The image just comes to life with color… don’t you think?

I used some winter themed dies to create these fun backgrounds for these adorable ice skaters. Minimal coloring and and finishing up with stamping these fun sentiments. I added some dimension to the image and the sentiment using foam adhesives.    As you can see all the Evelin T. Designs stamps mixing very well together. So go crazy and have creating.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Many Blessing for this New Year.

Last-Minute Gift Tags

Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate! I’m here sharing some last-minute gift tags because how many of us calculate correctly and have enough on hand? It’s always better to have extras for those surprise gifts. Plus, they’re fun to make and can easily be turned into a card!

I watercolored images from Good Tidings to You and Fun in the Snow , using Simon Hurley create ink pads and I also stamped the snowflakes with the same inks. These inks are equally fantastic for stamping and watercoloring, which I love, and you can find all of the colours listed in the supply links below.

I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the animals’ red winter accessories and banners. The banners are from Evelin’s set called Framed for Winnie & Walter and they make awesome shaped tags. In the close-up, you can see how shimmery it makes the image. It’s so pretty and festive!

To finish, I stamped the sentiments, then did a bit of masking to stamp the snowflakes. I secured the animals using glue dots, punched a 1/8″ hole and threaded black cord.

For those of you who are celebrating this holiday season, I hope it’s wonderful! Even if you have no plans, I hope you enjoy the break!

Good Tidings to You Frameless Shaker Snowman Card

Hello Friends! Kelly Griglione here to share a really fun card featuring the darling snowman from Good Tidings to You using a new-to-me technique that I recently saw Ilda Dias use … frameless shaker cards! Although I love how shakers look, I was never really a fan of making them because I didn’t like using all of that foam tape. Plus the bulk made it difficult to mail.

With this style of shaker card though, you skip the foam tape and bulk. Instead, wrap clear mylar, acetate, packaging, report covers, cellophane, basically anything you can find that’s clear, around the area you want to shake. You could make the entire card a shaker if you wanted to! Obviously the thicker the material you use, the better your card will hold up.

I grabbed one of my husband’s clear comic book bags and cut a piece that would fit around my panel.  Then I added the shaker elements to my panel, folded the sides of the clear mylar back behind the panel, and secured all the sides with tape.  I like that the snowflakes move around plenty when you shake it, but it also tends to hold the shaker contents in place. It’s a good balance. Love how the snowflakes float around the darling snowman like it’s really snowing.

I’ve only used the snowman here, but the Good Tidings to You set has five other adorable illustrations. Evelin always draws the cutest critters ever! I just want to give this guy a big hug!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Christmas Fun…

Happy Hello Evelin T. Designs friends. Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing a card I created using Warm Winter Wishes, All is Calm and Good Tidings to You stamp sets. Today I am mixing up all these fun stamps and they go so perfectly together.

I colored these sweet images with Copic Sketch makers. The background was created using Ranger Oxide inks. But first I die cut a fun Christmas tree on masking tape. I wanted the tree to be bright in the background.
I sprinkled a little green ink and water just on the tree and on the entire card I used Copic opaque.

Some of the images I gave dimension and the rest I just glued directly onto my card base. Finishing up with stamping the sentiment.
Another simple but fun card to create. yay for cute images… right?
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Evelin T. Designs crafting!

Season Greetings…

Welcome Evelin T. Designs friends… Annette Allen here with you today. I created a snow filled card for you today and I created it using Evelin T. Designs: Warm Winter Wishes, Fun In The Snow and Good Tidings to You stamp sets.
All of these sets mix so well together. That is why you need them ALL.

I created a Ranger Alcohol ink background. You might say that does not look like alcohol ink well it is I just used water with it to get this softer look. Takes a while to dry but so worth it.
The images are colored with Copic Sketch markers and I fussy cut around them. If you look closely I used a star embossing folder.

I used some of the fake snow that you can find at most craft stores. These little critters are having fun in the snow. It really does not shake like a shaker card but the snow is staying right where I want it too. Yay for Christmas/Winter cards… Right?
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!
